Billboards and large-format

Screens in places that are expensive to visit. Content is scheduled by daypart and location, pre-loaded onto each player beforehand so a soft connection at the wrong moment does not blank a paid placement. Every screen reports whether it is actually rendering, at what frame rate, rather than reporting that a command was sent.

The value is not the playlist. It is knowing, without driving anywhere, that all forty sites are showing what the advertiser is being billed for.

Hundreds of screens, running continuously, where a blank one is noticed by thousands of people. The fleet reports its own condition so a failing display is a ticket before it is a complaint, and updates roll out without a visit to a gate.

The part most signage software does badly is the interruption. An announcement here takes over every screen at once, in priority order, with the text spoken aloud, and nothing can outrank it. That is the same mechanism that carries a lockdown message in a school, which is where it was hardened.

Retail and hospitality

Many sites, thin connections, and staff who should not be operating a media system. Content is scheduled per location and per hour, so a promotion changes across a chain without anyone visiting a store, and a menu board switches from breakfast without someone remembering to do it.

Where connectivity is genuinely poor, Ava Display Edge puts a server in the building so screens keep working on very little internet and fall back automatically if the Edge stops.

Clinics and waiting rooms

A waiting room screen sits in front of people at their least private, which makes what the system stores the first question a practice manager should ask. Ava Display holds no information about the people who see the screens. They do not sign in, cannot send anything through it, and are never asked for anything by it. There is no patient record in the product to protect, because it never collects one.

What it does hold is operational: which screens exist, what staff scheduled, and who posted what. That answers a compliance question with the shape of the product rather than a promise about it.

Nothing about a viewer is collected, so there is nothing about a viewer to disclose.

Every post and every cast is attributable to the staff member who did it.

Screens carry device credentials rather than anyone's personal login, and any one can be revoked on its own.
